Make Big Impact for Big Dreams
The success of Arizona’s students is critical for our state. That’s why, in partnership with The Renaissance Foundation, Stand for Children Arizona awarded $20,000 scholarships ($5,000 per year for four years) to five students who were the first in their family to attend college.
This is your chance to be a part of ensuring academic achievement for all students in Arizona. Your support will make a huge difference!
Cell Phones
We’ve heard from educators and families alike who are concerned about how phones are a distraction in class, create privacy risks for students, and lead to a variety of discipline issues during the school day. Preliminary research from Angela Duckworth shows that the further the phone is from a student, the better off they are, whether it’s stored in lockers, protected in Yonder pouches in backpacks, or collected some other way. The most important element is that students should not have access during passing periods, recess, or lunch.
Rollback of the Arizona ESA Voucher Program
The universal expansion of this handout to wealthy families has no fiscal or academic accountability, while costing hundreds of millions of dollars more than what was projected. It must stop.
Sufficient Education Spending Spent Wisely/The Aggregate Expenditure Limit (AEL)
We must ensure that school districts are not plagued by funding cuts and will fight to achieve either a one-year waiver and/or a long-term solution to this archaic school funding formula.
Child Tax Credit/Child Care Subsidies
We recognize the vital role child tax credits and childcare subsidies play for working families. Our team is committed to building statewide support for these initiatives to reduce child poverty and enhance children’s well-being.
Virtual Probation
Expand opportunities for remote reporting (via online platform or phone) for individuals under probation. This enables us to use technology to ensure people can meet the requirements of their probation while supporting their ability to work, seek education, care for children, or other responsibilities.
Expand High School Success/9th Grade on Track Programming
Students who finish 9th grade on track are 3 times more likely to graduate than their off-track peers. We are working to generate a long-term sustainable funding source or pass another annual continuation of $1 million funding for 2025/26 school year.
Prop 123
This source of significant revenue for schools is set to expire this year and must be referred back to the ballot for a special election in May in order to be renewed, without raising taxes.
UNITE FOR LITERACY!

Stand for Children believes learning to read is one the most critical skills we can teach our students. And reading at grade level by the end of third grade is perhaps the single most essential educational milestone. So we’re partnering with Unite for Literacy to provide a FREE digital library.
